On the 25th April the 2nd Leaving Ladies Lunch was held in common space one. The menu, chosen by the year 11's themselves, consisted of a mozzarella toast starter, penne pasta in tomato sauce or chicken in a red wine sauce with roasted vegetables and new potatoes for main course and finally, for dessert, a chocolate mousse or a yogurt swirl.
The lunch was run entirely by students on the year 10 catering course, including setting up, menus and cooking.
Tickets sold out within the first break of going on sale, at a price of £5 and all the proceeds went towards investing in new plates for the catering students as the plates were borrowed from Marsham Court Hotel.
We asked some girls what they had to say about this memorable event. One girl thought that the settings were "pretty" and another said that "everyone tried really hard!".
Over all the lunch was a success and it is the perfect way to say good bye to such a special year group.
