Girls from year 9 in the English department decided to hold a book sale to raise money for children in need. They asked pupils from all years if they could bring in books for this sale. Many people responded to their request as they were all very happy to help for charity. They also made cakes with pudsey bears on them to represent why they were holding this. They raised a lot of money and it was a very succesful event. They did alot of work to make sure it was good and fun for everyone. All the year 9 girls enjoyed working on this projet and would happy to hold another one.

A girl who was involved in this commented "I thought it was really nice of people to donate the books to us. The cakes were a big hit as well!"
